Maybe Hen will be my ghost writer? In the meantime, Ant had his second game for the 3rd grade basketball season. He did very well and HUSTLES. He bee bops everywhere and tries to get steals and rebounds galore. It is fun to watch him. His team won 26 to 24 or something like that.

Hen says: Anthony arms were all over the place anticipating passes and running down balls (when a ball is loose, he runs it down and gets it). He is still working on the finer points of basketball but the key skills he needs to learn at this age he is getting close to mastering. Things like high energy motor, understanding where people are going to pass the ball, understanding spacing on the court. He gets his hand on the ball because of pure energy and knows what to do with it in terms of dribbling it down the court to make a lay up. The problem is, the second part of dribbling down the court to make a lay up -- the finer points he is still learning. He starts dribbling but quickly loses control and if he does make it down the court he doesn't quite have the coordination to make the layup. That will come from time and practice. He just needs a lot of repetition for layups and shooting the ball. He still gets his fair share of baskets but that is from pure energy and understanding where to be at the right place. It will be fun to watch him grow to be a better basketball player.
