What a crazy busy week this week has been! Anthony has soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-5:30. I am driving 3 boys including Ant in a carpool TO practices on Tuesday and Thursdays and the other moms are picking up and bringing Ant home on those days. Well I now have to drive to Laurel for pick up and I get there at 2:10pm a full 55 minutes before dismissal at 3:05pm in order to not get gridlocked into traffic as the high school gets out at 3:15/3:20pm. If I arrive to drive through after 2:45pm (to wait), then I won't get out of that whole area until 3:30pm. Gridlock. Crazy. First pic is soccer practice on Tuesday. Wednesday Ram bikes directly to batting practice. He gets out at 2:30 and starts batting at 2:45. I again arrive at Laurel 2:10pm to wait (and while waiting I went to volunteer in his art class)…and pick up Ant at 3:05pm and get to batting at 3:12pm. Ant likes to bat with Coach Jason and is upset Ram gets more batting time than he has. Next 4 pics are from Ramsey's back to school night at Hillview 6:30-8:30pm. I like his teachers and hope he has a great 7th grade year. Ant looks like a duck while waiting for his morning pick up (Tracy, Jen and I are alternating weeks to drive the kids to Laurel in the morning). The next two pics are Thursday -- Thursday was the craziest busy day. I went out at 8am to Staples to buy some half-sheet labels for girls volleyball evaluations. 10:30-12:30 I met with Joni (Xtreme owner) as I am going to do some website stuff for Xtreme in exchange for lower fees for Ramsey. 1-2:30pm I had a meeting at Hillview for mini course planning. I left early and went to Encinal 2-4pm for girls volleyball evaluations. (I let Ant take the school bus home, gave him a key to let himself in at approximately 2:35pm, Ramsey came home by bike at 2:55pm, a soccer carpool parent picked up Ant at 3:10pm, Ramsey stayed home by himself for a while.) I am volunteering for Afterschool Sports this year (Laurel boys 3rd grade basketball will play with Encinal kids this year) as next year when Laurel Upper Campus opens, Laurel will have its own Afterschool Sports teams -- I am learning how to do that now and will do it next year for Laurel Upper Campus. At 4:15 I came home, picked up Ram and dropped him at his soccer practice at Hillview which is 5-6pm. Then I went to pick up Ant and the other 2 boys in carpool at 5:30pm, came back to Hillview to pick up Ram (we arrived at 5:55 but he went late until 6:10ish), dropped off the 2 boys, got home at 6:35. Then Hen and I turned around and went to Laurel back to school night which was 6:30-8pm but we were late. Oh boy what a busy day. No pics from Laurel back to school night because I forgot my phone at home. Last 2 pics are from Fri 9/11. I picked up Ant at Laurel (again went to wait at 2:10pm for a 3:05pm dismissal) and went to meet Ramsey and John at Nealon Field with their baseball gear and a snack. Their practice starts 4:15pm. I put Ramsey's bike in the minivan and was going to take Ant to his baseball practice which starts 3:45pm. Ant was not happy when I picked him up because he thought/hoped we were going straight home because he had to poop. He DID NOT want to poop anywhere else -- Nealon field has public restrooms and the senior center nearby has really clean bathrooms. He wanted me to take him home after leaving Nealon. No way. I finally got him to agree to go to the bathroom at Trader Joe's. I really hope this kid gets used to going to the bathroom other than at home! Ant got to practice 20 minutes late (after fuss ing about where to go to the bathroom and then actually going) and Ant's team got their uniforms. They are gold.
