Here's some photos from this week:
Batting lessons with Coach Jason on Wed 9/23 after school. Ram gives Coach Jason his baseball bag on Tues night (practice 6:15-8:15pm) and then Ram bikes directly from school to Menlo College's batting cages when school lets out at 2:30pm. Jason brings his bag to the cages. I pick up Ant from school (I wait from 2:10 until 3:05 when school gets out) and drive Ant as quick as possible to the batting cages. Ant gets there about 3:15 so only gets about 30 minutes of batting practice with Coach Jason. Ant hates it - he wants equal time with Ramsey.
I had to take Ramsey back to Menlo College 5:15-6:15pm on Wed for a stretching band lesson. The bands are used to stretch the arms and protect the muscles and ligaments for these young pitchers. While I was gone, I asked Hen to get home and watch Ant. Ant was at Michael's house and then those two came back to our house and made cookies by themselves. The cookies were yummy.
Thursday Ant had soccer from 4-5:30pm and Ram had soccer 5-6pm. Ant's school had its Fall Family Picnic from 5-7pm and Ant really wanted to go. It was 6:23pm when we walked in the door and Hen was willing to take Ant there by bike. Ant said he didn't want to go since it was going to end at 7 anyway. I promised him we could have Fall Family Snuggle night instead…but whoops I had to leave at 6:50 to go to the Little League board meeting. Ant was ***SOOOOO*** upset and had an epic temper tantrum. Epic. I promised him a raincheck for Friday afternoon/night for Fall Family Snuggle. Oh boy. Friday after school I picked up Ant (waited from 2:00) and drove to Nealon field to meet Ramsey and John and brought them their baseball gear and snack. Put Ram's bike in our minivan and then drove Ant to his baseball practice from 4-5:30. I waited there and watched practice. I drove Ayden home and got Ant home at 5:50pm. Hen wasn't home yet and I left Ant home to go pick up Ram from his practice which ended at 6:15. We got home at 6:30 and Ant was upset and shouted, "I'm never going to agree to a raincheck from you again Mama! You promised me Fall Family Snuggle and you're not even home!" Uh, yep. So after I calmed him down, we sat down to watch TV. Last weekend we watched The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh together and he loved it. He then searched up all other Winnie the Pooh shows on Netflix and has been watching them. The other movies/shows besides the original The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh aren't as good but Ant still enjoyed them.
Saturday Ram and I got up at 6 and he was picked up at 6:30am by John's dad to go to the field for the 8:00 am game. Ram and I walked around our immediate neighborhood while waiting and it's so calm and quiet at 6:30am!
Saturday 9/26 afternoon, Ant and I stayed home after his 12:00-2:00 baseball game. He was invited to Robby's house with William but he turned down that playdate because he wanted to spend time with me. He was tired and a bit grumpy but we read together, snuggled, watched more Winnie the Pooh, did mazes and did a puzzle together.
Sunday 9/27 morning the boys were dressing to go to their sports activities. I told Hen that our laundry is full of sports uniforms. Yes, my boys love their sports. Sunday night 9/27 at dinner I asked what their highlights of their weekend was. Ant said, "Spending time with you (meaning me)." Ram said, "Sports." I asked what about sports and he said, "All of it." Yep, sports boys.
