Both boys had baseball practice on Fri 9/3 evening. It was Anthony's first practice with his fall ball team. I tried to get a pic of the boys as they were leaving but it's hard to get good pics of those two now as they are so wiggly and Ant thinks it's funny to make faces.
Ant's practice was 4-5:30pm. Ramsey had practice from 4:15 to 8:15pm. Yes, FOUR hours. His regular team Hackers practiced 6:15-8:15 but Ram went to the Thunder practice from 4:15-6:15 as he was learning signs and stuff for that team. I was worried that he would be super tired but no, he was happy (loves sports).
At 6:30, we dropped Anthony off at William's house. William wanted a big sleepover with 10 friends for his birthday celebration but his parents agreed to 3 friends (Ayden, Anthony and Robby who couldn't make it) for a sleepover and a future party. Dinner was pizza and check out how cute they are sleeping together (pics from William's dad). We heard that William had a dream in the middle of the night about fighting and started punching Anthony who woke up and "kicked William in the balls." Hmm…then they went back to sleep.
Ramsey had 4 games with Thunder this weekend: Sat 10:15-12:15, Sun 5-7p, Sun 7:15-9:15pm and Mon 8-10am. Ant and I went to the first game, Hen took Ram to the 2nd and 3rd games and I took Ram to the 4th game. In addition, Ramsey had three SVBC basketball games, two of which he went to and had a decent amount of playing time. The games were Sat 3:30pm and Sun 12:45pm. Hen took Ram to both of those games and Ramsey actually started for the Sunday game! (Ram's team lost all 4 baseball games, and won 1 basketball game (Sat 3:15pm, Ram made 4 points!) and lost 2.)
Sat afternoon, Ant was exhausted (from the sleepover the previous night) and he and I just relaxed at home. Sun afternoon, William came over from 12:30-8:30 while his dad took his older brother to his Xtreme games…those two played a lot on the iPads.
Ramsey came home Sunday afternoon and Ramsey, Michael, Anthony and William played together for a little bit before...
…Ramsey headed off to the 2nd and 3rd baseball games with Hen.
Ant and William didn't want to go out for dinner. I made mac and cheese and steamed broccoli and they had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Then they watched a movie together.
Monday morning I took Ram to the last game. He didn't hit very well at this tournament. I think he was 1-7 or 1-8 at bat. At the last game he grounded out but got a RBI on that play (above).
Monday afternoon we went to Tracy, Chris, Owen and Reilly's house for a pasta extravaganza. They went to Italy for 6 weeks this summer (sabbatical) and took a cooking class there as a family. The kids stayed outside and scootered a lot while we prepped the pasta dough...
Then they had a great time rolling out the dough (this is my pasta maker from say 1993 when Darren and I used to cook a lot together in my Berkeley apartment…perhaps Annie was there for the one cooking session we actually used this pasta roller!) and see how dusty/floury Ant's arms are?
Chris and Tracy had made 4 different kinds of sauce which you can see in the pots. Here are the adults.
We even had chocolate/pear raviolis for dessert with a strawberry sauce. We started at 4pm and we didn't sit down until 8:15pm! It was fun to make the pasta together.
