…Ram was up to bat and he hit a blooper pop up hit to LF and got on base. Don't you love how un-color coordinated Ram is? Blue undershirt, green uniform, red batting gloves!
In the dugout...
Another at-bat.
When we arrived for the first game, we heard from Ram's coach that his arm is injured and had been since Saturday. HUH? He didn't tell us that. He didn't pay much for the first Sunday game because he couldn't even throw from RF to the infield regularly and had to toss the ball underhand. Sigh...
While Ram was playing his game, Ant was wandering around with Ram's team mate Danny's brother Joey who is on Blast.
Ominous rain clouds in the sky…Ram at RF.
Ramsey's team managed to win the 1st game (they were 5th seed playing 4th seed) 10-9!!! The boys were so happy and Annie was so happy for them too!
In the dugout between games…not much time as the next game was to start 9:55am.

Sadly the boys lost the 2nd game and were mercied 12-2. The end for Ramsey's 12u Hackers team this season!
Above are a bunch of Ant pictures as he was waiting for his team to warm up for the 11:50am game.
Ant's game was 11:50am. 10u Blast was the 7th seed out of 8 teams and had to play the 2nd seed team in the Sunday game. Ugh. That team was really good. Ant moved up in the batting order from 11th batter to 9th batter yay Ant! But still he came up to bat only once and struck out. He played LF in 2 innings and had a ball hit to him that was way over his head. His team lost and the game ended up in a mercy 10-2. He was done by 1:15pm.
10u Blast
We left Lakeside (San Diego area) at 1:45pm. Annie drove from there to Ventura. At 5:30 we dropped the boys at Macaroni Grill (because they had to have PASTA) and Annie and I went to her house to unload her stuff from our minivan and pack up stuff into our minivan that she had for us. We joined the boys for dinner at Macaroni Grill and said bye to Annie at 6:30.
Hendrik drove the rest of the way home. I fell asleep at 7:10 and Hen said Ram fell asleep at 7:15 and Ant not long after that when he was tired of talking to Hen. I woke up later and was so happy to see the boys asleep in the car! We got home at 11:45 and easily had the kids go to their room and go back to bed. What a busy trip to San Diego! (Today I heard that the entire tournament was cancelled because of rain at around 4:30-5:00pm. There were several of our Xtreme teams playing late afternoon games. 11u Aftershock were in the 4:30pm championship game. iScore showed one inning played and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Now that I heard that around 4:30-ish there was 45 minutes of really hard downpour and then the tournament organizers cancelled the tournament. I also heard that 12u Thunder had a 5:30pm game but they didn't even play it due to rain/cancellation. One 12u Thunder dad left his son at the field, drove to San Diego airport to return the rental car, Uber-ed back to Lakeside, then found out the game was cancelled…yikes! So glad that 12u Hackers had a good seed (5th) and played early games!)
