Anthony woke up and said, "I'm so excited, it's Halloween!!!" Hen took the boys to his own basketball game in the morning (and Ramsey played with the adults because there were an odd number of adult players). Hen then took Ram to Robotics from 1-2:30 and then we all went to watch Ram at soccer 2:30-3:30pm. Luckily the soccer game was at the same location as Ramsey's SVBC basketball practice 4-6pm. After basketball, Hen took Ram to Aman's house at 6:30 and Ram, Spencer, Aman and Maksim trick o treated together in Palo Alto until 8:30 and then Hen and Ram went to Winnie's house for an hour. I met them at home about 9:45. Meanwhile, Ant and I went to the Judas' Halloween party from 4:30 to 5:15. There were a lot of "Halloween" foods and the one I liked best was a fruit dish in the shape of a jack o lantern. I did not dress up in a costume.
At 5:15, Ant and I went to Ayden's house for his Halloween get together (with about 5 other families that he has known from preschool…which was Roberts School which is the preschool Ramsey went to). Ant had a cheeseburger for dinner and I had grilled chicken sausage and green salad. At 6:00, the "older" (these families' older kids are 3rd grade and the younger kids are 1st grade or younger) kids went trick o treating by themselves in that neighborhood (it's a closed neighborhood, no through traffic unless it's residents/guests) until 6:45.
At 6:45, they came back and checked out their loot.
I drove Ayden, Dylan and Ant to Willie Mayes house to trick o treat. He lives in a big house down a flag lot (that's his house behind the boys all lit up). There was no line and the boys each got a baseball from Willie and then a full size Hersey's bar. Willie has a helper who told us no posed pictures with Willie. We then went back to Ayden's house but Dylan and Anthony wanted to go trick o treating at Robby's house...
…so I drove them over to Robby's neighborhood. Robby and William were out trick o treating with Robby's mom and younger sisters so Dylan, Anthony and I went out trick o treating in the neighborhood with the hopes of finding them. The boys were *so* happy to see each other and then they went trick o treating by themselves for a bit (closed circular road). I sat with Robby's mom passing out candy at their door. At 9:00 I tried to extract Dylan and Ant to go back to Ayden's (where Dylan's parents and younger sister were)…but William, who doesn't even live there, invited Dylan and Ant to sleep over at Robby's! Robby's parents were totally fine with it so Ant got an impromptu sleepover on Halloween night and he promised me (because William suggested it) that he will brush his teeth with toothpaste and his finger! Ha ha.
Today Ant (left) and Ram (right) compared their candy loot. Wow! That's a lot of candy, isn't it?
