Adventures with Rant: "Normal" Busy Sports Weekend

Weekend schedule: Friday 4-5:30 Anthony baseball practice, 4:15-6:15 Ramsey baseball practice, 6:10-6:30 drop Ramsey at Redwood City movie theaters for Spencer's birthday party Saturday 9:30am pick up Ramsey from Spencer's birthday party, 1:30 Ramsey gets picked up for baseball, 2:45-4:45 Ramsey baseball game #1 won 21-6, 3:00-4:00 Anthony soccer game #1 won 4-0, 5:30-8:00 Ramsey baseball game #2 won in extra inning 14-13, 7:30-10 Hendrik took Anthony to Stanford football and Ram and I were to meet them but Ram actually said he was too tired to go. Sunday 6:30am Ram gets picked up for baseball, 8:00-10:00 Ramsey baseball game #3 lost 10-5, 9:30-11:30 Anthony fall ball game, 12:15-1:15 Ramsey NJB basketball tryouts/evals, 3:30-4:30 Anthony soccer game #2 won 1-0, 6:00-8:00 Ramsey SVBC basketball practice. Busy busy busy huh? (I only have pics from the events I went to.) But like Annie said, this is our "normal" busy schedule!

Ramsey baseball game #1 and #2 were played at Twin Creeks in Sunnyvale. It was windy, DUSTY and **COLD** after 5pm. I was not happy when they had to play an extra inning because it was so cold. They were down 9-1 in the 1st inning and came back to tie and win though at the bottom of the 6th inning (we were home), with the score tied, bases loaded and no outs, we could not score. Ram was a batter at the bottom of the 6th and hit a nice line drive to RF which was caught and the runner on 3rd could have tagged up and come home (to end the game) but he didn't. Nevertheless, the team played well after the 2nd inning of that game and they deserved the win.

We went home Sat night and found out at 9pm that the Sunday game was at 8am. Even though we won 2 of the 2 pool games, two other teams also won 2 out of 2 and were placed higher than us due to the point spreads so we were 3rd place. When I woke Ram up at 6am, he was tired and sleepy and said, "NOOOOO I don't want to wake up." Yep, he was tired from not sleeping at Spencer's sleepover birthday party (midnight to 7am was when he actually slept). The game was 8am at PAL stadium in San Jose. Ramsey pitched half of the 3rd inning, the 4th and the 5th and let 4 runs in. Sigh…they lost. But that's okay because we still had lots to do on Sunday.

Ram and I arrived at 10:45 at Ant's fall ball game and immediately Hen and Ram left to let Ram rest for his 12:15 basketball tryouts. Hen said Ant pitched an inning and looked better than he has previously. He also played catcher for an inning before we arrived.
